Read on for the Round 17 team tips!

THURSDAY JUNE 25

Parramatta Eels vs. South Sydney Rabbitohs @ CommBank Stadium, 7.50pm

Round 15 Eels team: 1. Isaiah Iongi 2. Brian Kelly 3. Jordan Samrani 4. Sean Russell 5. Josh Addo-Carr 6. Joash Papali’i 7. Ronald Volkman 8. Luca Moretti 17. Harrison Edwards 10. Jack Williams 11. Kelma Tuilagi 12. Kitione Kautoga 13. Jack de Belin 9. Tallyn Da Silva 14. Dylan Walker 15. Sam Tuivaiti 16. Teancum Brown 18. Apa Twidle 19. Charlie Guymer

Team Tips: The Eels are fresh off the bye and will welcome back Mitch Moses. Their captain hasn’t played for Parra since Magic Round. He’ll likely partner Ronald Volkman in the halves with Joash Papali’i reverting to the bench. Jonah Pezetisn’t due back for another week at least. Hooker Ryley Smith has been in NSW Cup over the last few weeks but could earn a recall.

Round 15 Rabbitohs team: 1. Jye Gray 2. Alex Johnston 3. Latrell Siegwalt 4. Tallis Duncan 5. Edward Kosi 6. Cody Walker 7. Ashton Ward 8. Tevita Tatola 9. Brandon Smith 10. Keaon Koloamatangi 11. David Fifita 12. Euan Aitken 13. Lachlan Hubner 14. Bronson Garlick 15. Jamie Humphreys 16. Jayden Sullivan 17. John Radel 18. Dayne Jennings 19. Liam Le Blanc

Team Tips: Latrell Mitchell confirmed on Sunday Night with Matty Johns that he’ll be in the line up to take on Parramatta but the very next morning, he left training early with no explanation in a potential blow to Souths and NSW. Mitchell hasn’t played since suffering a back injury in Round 11. Tallis Duncan has played extremely well at centre but he’ll likely start at back row to accommodate Mitchell’s return. That’ll push Euan Aitken to the bench. Jack Wighton is nearing a return.

FRIDAY JUNE 26

Gold Coast Titans vs. Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs @ Cbus Super Stadium, 6pm

Last week’s Titans team: 1. Keano Kini 2. Jenson Taumoepeau 3. Jojo Fifita 4. AJ Brimson 5. Phillip Sami 6. Jayden Campbell 7. Zane Harrison 8. Moeaki Fotuaika 9. Oliver Pascoe 16. Klese Haas 11. Arama Hau 12. Beau Fermor 13. Cooper Bai 14. Kurtis Morrin 15. Josh Patston 17. Jaylan De Groot 19. Jett Liu 20. Sam Verrills 21. Adam Christensen

Team Tips: The red-hot Titans have beaten the previous two premiers in as many games but Josh Hannay will be forced into a change after winger Jenson Taumoepeau suffered an ugly leg injury. Siale Faeamani is the favourite to win a recall although Max Feagai is in the running as well. Skipper Tino Fa’asuamaleaui, who was rested against Penrith, will be back on deck, pushing Klese Haas to the pine. Chris Randall is also due back after missing a game because of a head knock.

Last week’s Bulldogs team: 1. Connor Tracey 2. Jacob Kiraz 19. Jethro Rinakama 4. Stephen Crichton 5. Enari Tuala 6. Matt Burton 7. Lachlan Galvin 8. Max King 14. Bailey Hayward 10. Leo Thompson 11. Sitili Tupouniua 12. Jaeman Salmon 13. Harry Hayes 3. Bronson Xerri 15. Jed Reardon 16. Jack Underhill 17. Josh Curran 22. Alex Conti 23. Alekolasimi Jones

Team Tips: The Bulldogs will be without gun forward Sitili Tupouniua for at least eight weeks, meaning there’s a chance he’ll miss the rest of the season. According to the SMH’s Danny Weidler, Tupouniua suffered a grade three hamstring tear against Manly. In a surprise move, Stephen Crichton played at five-eighth against the Sea Eagles, kicking the game-winning field goal with Matt Burton lining up in the centres. Could Cameron Ciraldo name Crichton at six this weekend? Fox League experts Greg Alexander and Luke Keary discussed the pros and cons of such a decision before the Sunday slate of games. In a huge boost, Jacob Preston is expected back for the Titans clash. Bailey Hayward was named on the bench but started at nine with Kurt Mann a late out.

Brisbane Broncos vs. Sydney Roosters @ Suncorp Stadium, 8pm

Round 15 Broncos team: 1. Hayze Perham 2. Josiah Karapani 3. Antonio Verhoeven 4. Grant Anderson 5. Jesse Arthars 6. Thomas Duffy 7. Adam Reynolds 8. Preston Riki 9. Cory Paix 13. Xavier Willison 11. Brendan Piakura 12. Jordan Riki 19. Josh Rogers 10. Jack Gosiewski 14. Ben Hunt 15. Ben Talty 17. Aublix Tawha 18. Ezra Mam 20. Phillip Coates

Team Tips: No team needed a bye last weekend more than the Broncos, who have lost six straight. They’re also dealing with one of the worst injury lists in the NRL. In a much-needed boost, Billy Walters is set to be named to return via Queensland Cup and could return to first grade shortly. Elsewhere, Adam Reynolds (hamstring) will be good to go but the bigger watch is on Ezra Mam, who picked up an AC joint injury in the loss to South Sydney. Mam looked explosive in the loss to the Rabbitohs after starting on the bench, and it will be interesting to see if he gets a start should he be cleared to play.

Last week’s Roosters team: 1. James Tedesco 2. Tommy Talau 3. Billy Smith 4. Robert Toia 5. Mark Nawaqanitawase 6. Daly Cherry-Evans 7. Sam Walker 8. Naufahu Whyte 9. Reece Robson 10. Lindsay Collins 16. Nat Butcher 12. Siua Wong 13. Victor Radley 14. Connor Watson 15. Spencer Leniu 17. Salesi Foketi 18. Rex Bassingthwaighte 19. Toby Rodwell 22. Egan Butcher

Team Tips: In a crushing blow, back rower Angus Crichton is set to spend an extended period of time on the bench with a foot injury. He was a late scratching from the Sharks clash and was pictured on the Allianz Stadium sideline using a knee scooter. According to Code Sports, Crichton will miss at least six weeks but it could be a season-ending injury if the Roosters star needs surgery. If that’s the case, Crichton has likely played his final NRL game as he’s heading to rugby union next season. Hugo Savala missed the Sharks win (concussion) but will be a welcome addition to the Roosters backline which will push Billy Smith out to a wing. Tommy Talau the likely omission.

SATURDAY JUNE 27

Dolphins vs. Warriors @ Suncorp Stadium, 3pm

Last week’s Dolphins team: 1. Trai Fuller 2. Jamayne Isaako 3. Jack Bostock 4. Herbie Farnworth 5. Tevita Naufahu 6. Kodi Nikorima 14. Brad Schneider 8. Felise Kaufusi 9. Jeremy Marshall-King 10. Francis Molo 11. Connelly Lemuelu 12. Oryn Keeley 13. Morgan Knowles 15. Kurt Donoghoe 16. Tom Gilbert 17. Ray Stone 19. Brian Pouniu 20. John Fineanganofo 24. Kulikefu Finefeuiaki

Team Tips: The red-hot Dolphins host the Warriors in a 3rd v 2nd blockbuster at Suncorp Stadium and the home side will have Selwyn Cobbo back in the side. Cobbo is in the form of his life at the moment and was probably hard done by not to win Man of the Match in Origin Game II. Kristian Woolf rested most of his Origin stars including Cobbo, Max Plath, Tom Flegler and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow. Kulikefu Finefeuaki was the only one to back up but it’s worth noting he played less than 15 minutes in Game II. All five listed will line up against the Dolphins.

Last week’s Warriors team: 1. Taine Tuaupiki 2. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak 3. Ali Leiataua 4. Adam Pompey 5. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad 6. Chanel Harris-Tavita 7. Te Maire Martin 22. Mitchell Barnett 9. Wayde Egan 10. Jackson Ford 11. Jacob Laban 12. Marata Niukore 13. Erin Clark 8. Tanner Stowers-Smith 15. Eddie Ieremia-Toeava 16. Demitric Vaimauga 17. Kayliss Fatialofa 20. Luke Metcalf 21. Makaia Tafua

Team Tips: The Warriors thrashed the Cowboys but the win came at a cost. Gun forward Jackson Ford suffered a pec injury and could be set to miss a few weeks at the very least. More will be known in the coming days. “It’s something in his pec, we don’t know if it’s minor or big. We’ll find it when we scan. They can be really bad or they can be a couple of weeks,” Warriors coach Andrew Webster said. Ford was a smokey to be picked in the Blues’ Game III squad. Luke Metcalf sat on the six-man bench against NQ but wasn’t used. If going by Webster’s comments in the past week or so, Metcalf won’t be used anytime soon unless injury strikes.

North Queensland Cowboys vs. Penrith Panthers @ Queensland Country Bank Stadium, 5.30pm

Last week’s Cowboys team: 1. Scott Drinkwater 2. Braidon Burns 3. Zac Laybutt 4. Tomas Chester 5. Murray Taulagi 6. Jaxon Purdue 7. Jake Clifford 15. Griffin Neame 9. Reed Mahoney 10. Jason Taumalolo 11. Heilum Luki 12. Jeremiah Nanai 13. Reuben Cotter 8. Thomas Mikaele 14. Soni Luke 16. Matthew Lodge 17. Coen Hess 18. Liam Sutton 19. Sam McIntyre 20. John Bateman

Team Tips: Tom Dearden is a 50/50 chance of playing againsrt Penrith. If he gets through that game ok, he’s a lock to be picked in the Maroons squad for the decider. If Dearden is available this weekend, it’ll push Jaxon Purdue back to the centres where he’s far more effective. Jason Taumalolo was charged for a dangerous tackle but won’t miss any time. Jeremiah Nanai was one of North Queensland’s best in the loss to the Warriors in what was his return game from a shoulder injury layoff.

Last week’s Panthers team: 1. Dylan Edwards 2. Thomas Jenkins 3. Izack Tago 4. Luke Garner 5. Paul Alamoti 6. Blaize Talagi 7. Jack Cogger 8. Moses Leota 9. Freddy Lussick 10. Liam Henry 11. Isaiah Papali’i 12. Liam Martin 13. Lindsay Smith 14. Billy Scott 15. Scott Sorensen 16. Billy Phillips 17. Luron Patea 18. Jack Cole 19. Sione Fonua

Team Tips: Nathan Cleary, Brian To’o and Isaah Yeo were rested post-Origin in the Titans loss, but will travel to Townsville to face the Cowboys. Mitch Kenny is closing in on a return from a broken leg. If right, Kenny could be brought along slowly and begin the game on the pine behind Freddy Lussick, who has done a decent job in Kenny’s place.

Manly Sea Eagles vs. Melbourne Storm @ 4 Pines Park, 7.35pm

Last week’s Sea Eagles team: 1. Tom Trbojevic 2. Jason Saab 3. Tolutau Koula 4. Reuben Garrick 5. Lehi Hopoate 6. Luke Brooks 7. Jamal Fogarty 8. Taniela Paseka 9. Brandon Wakeham 10. Kobe Hetherington 11. Haumole Olakau’atu 12. Ben Trbojevic 13. Jake Trbojevic 14. Jake Simpkin 15. Nathan Brown 16. Ethan Bullemor 17. Simione Laiafi 18. Josh Feledy 19. Joey Walsh

Team Tips: A hiccup from Manly last start, downed by the Dogs. A forced change for Kieran Foran is forward Kobe Hetherington, who suffered a Category 1 concussion. Jake Simpkin is a chance to start because of the calf injury suffered by Brandon Wakeham. This weekend’s blockbuster is Tom Trbojevic’s last chance to impress Blues selectors before teams are announced next week. He was solid in his return from a hamstring injury.

Last week’s Storm team: 1. Sualauvi Faalogo 2. William Warbrick 3. Jack Howarth 4. Joe Chan 5. Moses Leo 6. Cameron Munster 7. Jahrome Hughes 8. Stefano Utoikamanu 14. Trent Toelau 10. Josh King 11. Cooper Clarke 12. Ativalu Lisati 13. Trent Loiero 9. Harry Grant 15. Alec MacDonald 16. Jack Hetherington 18. Shawn Blore 19. Tyran Wishart 21. Preston Conn 22. Siulagi Tuimalatu-Brown

Team Tips: The Storm are in form and other than Eli Katoa and Xavier Coates, who are both out for the season, they are mostly healthy as we enter the final third of the season. Nick Meaney is nearing a return but is probably another week away. Marion Seve is close too and could come into the side for Joe Chan, who was exposed defensively in the centres against the Raiders.

SUNDAY JUNE 28

Canberra Raiders vs. St. George Illawarra Dragons @ GIO Stadium, 2pm

Last week’s Raiders team: 1. Kaeo Weekes 2. Savelio Tamale 3. Sebastian Kris 4. Matthew Timoko 5. Xavier Savage 6. Ethan Strange 7. Ethan Sanders 8. Corey Horsburgh 14. Owen Pattie 10. Joseph Tapine 11. Hudson Young 12. Zac Hosking 13. Jayden Brailey 9. Tom Starling 15. Ata Mariota 16. Morgan Smithies 17. Daine Laurie 18. Jed Stuart 19. Vena Patuki-Case

Team Tips: Canberra are set to welcome back one of their best players in Simi Sasagi. His inclusion is what the Raiders desperately need with Ricky Stuart’s men needing a minor miracle to make the eight. He’s best suited in the back row and could be named at either second row or lock, which will push Jayden Brailey to the bench. Veteran prop Josh Papalii, who is in the midst of his last season at the Raiders, is back from a calf injury.

Last week’s Dragons team: 1. Clinton Gutherson 2. Setu Tu 4. Valentine Holmes 19. Tyrell Sloan 5. Mathew Feagai 6. Daniel Atkinson 7. Kyle Flanagan 8. Loko Jnr Pasifiki Tonga 9. Damien Cook 10. Toby Couchman 11. Dylan Egan 12. Hamish Stewart 13. Ryan Couchman 14. Jacob Liddle 15. Luciano Leilua 16. Josh Kerr 17. Blake Lawrie 18. Emre Guler I am running a few minutes late; my previous meeting is running over.

Team Tips: Moses Suli is the big name to monitor for the Dragons. He was ruled out just ten minutes before kick off in the Knights clash last Thursday. Tyrell Sloan was excellent as a late call up. If Suli can’t go because of his hip injury, Sloan will start on the wing and Mat Feagai in the centres.

Ricky irate after blown Raiders lead | 05:56

Newcastle Knights vs. Wests Tigers @ McDonald Jones Stadium, 4.05pm

Last week’s Knights team: 6. Fletcher Sharpe 2. Dominic Young 3. Dane Gagai 4. Bradman Best 5. Greg Marzhew 20. Sandon Smith 7. Dylan Brown 8. Jacob Saifiti 9. Phoenix Crossland 10. Trey Mooney 12. Thomas Cant 19. Francis Manuleleua 13. Mathew Croker 14. Harrison Graham 15. Tyson Frizell 16. Pasami Saulo 17. Cody Hopwood 18. Fletcher Hunt 21. Tyson Gamble 22. James Schiller

Team Tips: Kalyn Ponga returns after being rested post-Origin. Blues back rower Dylan Lucas was also rested. That means Fletcher Sharpe will start at six alongside Dylan Brown, pushing Sandon Smith to the pine. Lucas will replace Tom Cant in the starting line up while Jermaine McEwen will return as well. McEwen has served a one match suspension for an off-field incident.

Last week’s Tigers team: 1. Jahream Bula 2. Sunia Turuva 3. Taylan May 4. Patrick Herbert 5. Starford To’a 6. Jarome Luai 7. Jock Madden 8. Terrell May 9. Apisai Koroisau 15. Bunty Afoa 11. Tony Sukkar 12. Sione Fainu 13. Alex Seyfarth 10. Fonua Pole 14. Josese Lanyon 16. Mavrik Geyer 17. Charlie Murray 18. Heamasi Makasini 20. Heath Mason

Team Tips: The Tigers will welcome back Adam Doueihi this week with open arms. They’re simply a better team with him running the show. Doueihi has missed a couple of months with a shoulder injury and will replace Jock Madden in the No. 7 jersey. Without Doueihi, the Tigers have won two of six games. Alex Twal will be back either this week or next week. His presence in the middle has been missed. Patrick Herbert will be sidelined with a shoulder injury and is set to be replaced by Heamasi Makasini.

Bye: Sharks
