Late Mail: There may be concerns about the Roosters’ fullback but Penrith’s Dylan Edwards is pushing for a shock return. Edwards hasn’t played in a month and has been named on the reserves this week, but according to coach Ivan Cleary, the superstar fullback is a chance of playing against the Chooks. There’s a chance. Late Mail: James Tedesco is racing the clock to be fit for tomorrow night’s clash. Coach Trent Robinson revealed the Roosters skipper will have to pass a final fitness test on Thursday. “Today’s the last bit of prep that we’ve got to get done to make sure that he is final and right to go. He was about 50% yesterday for the session, so we’ve just got to make sure he gets it done today. The final tick-off will be today,” Robinson said. If Tedesco can’t play, he’ll be replaced by Cody Ramsey.

Late Mail: Halfback Adam Reynolds has kept reporters guessing regarding his return to the field, refusing to confirm he will play again this year before retiring. Reynolds suffered a nasty head knock in Round 22 and missed Brisbane’s loss to the Dolphins last week, but should have been in line to return against the Warriors. Reynolds told reporters on Tuesday night that the decision to miss the game is not injury-related and that he feels “alright”, which only added to speculation he may have played his last NRL game. If he hasn’t, Reynolds wasn’t that interested in shutting down that possibility. “Nothing really. It’s a good opportunity for some young fellas to get a go and build on some combinations for the future,” Reynolds said when asked about his absence. Pressed on when he would be back playing, Reynolds added: “Don’t know, I’ll find out. I will keep you guessing.” Reynolds was then asked why he would keep the media guessing and said “no reason, no reason”. The legendary halfback will hang up the boots at the end of the year and while it would make sense for the Broncos to honour the premiership-winning veteran with a Suncorp Stadium farewell, Reynolds again did not confirm that will happen. “If there’s a farewell, there’s a farewell. If not, look I am happy with the career I have had,” he said. “There are other players in the team who deserve it more than I do. They have been a big part of the club for a lot longer than I have. Every game is important that you go out there, not just the last game, so we will keep you guessing.”
